Membership

Our core objective is to build strong personal values, family values and character in young people by providing program activities that teach, support and encourage such values. But most of all, youth members and their families, come to us for a great time and for adventures that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Cub Scouts

Boys and girls in grades 1-5 join a Cub Scout den specifically for their grade and gender. All the dens are organized in a unit called a pack.

First grade Scouts are in a Tiger den. Second grade Scouts are in a Wolf den. Third grade Scouts are in a Bear den. Fourth and fifth grade Scouts are in a two year program called Webelos. This program transitions from leader led to partially Scout led which which helps the Scouts prepare for Scouts BSA. Usually in February or March of the second year the Webelos crossover to Boy Scouts.

Scouts BSA

Boys and girls in grades 5-12 join Boy Scouts are organized together in a unit called a troop. The troops are gender specific; all boy troops or all girl troops. You can join Scouts BSA at any grade. You do not need to have been a Cub Scout to join Scouts BSA.

In Scouts BSA, older Scouts plan the meetings and outings for the troop. Volunteer trained adult leaders support the youth leaders. The Scouts work through rank requirements in the Scout BSA hand book which teaches them life skills – first aid, community service, citizenship, character and more. The ranks are Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life and Eagle. Read the Scout BSA Adventures booklet for more information.

Special Needs Scouting

The basic premise of Scouting for youth with special needs is that every young person wants to participate fully and be respected like every other member of the troop, pack or crew. While there are, by necessity, units exclusively composed of Scouts with disabilities, experience has shown that Scouting usually succeeds best when every youth is part of a den or patrol in a traditional unit. We provide support with a committee comprised of parents of special needs youth and professionals from a diverse range of expertise in working with individuals with disAbilities. Venturing Crews

Venturing Crews are co-ed programs for youth 14-21 that specializes in hobby interests, such as Community Service, High Adventure, Arts, Sports, Youth Ministry, Youth Leadership Development and more. For more information, visit the Venturing Page.

Sea Scouts

For more information, visit the Sea Scouts web page. Sea Scouting serves young men and women 14-21 who have interests in boating activities of any kind including sailing, motor boating, small boats, large boats, oceanography, all things marine and more.

Exploring

Exploring is a career based program for co-ed youth ages 14-21. Explorer Posts typically meet twice a month. Exploring is youth led and advised by adults. Posts can be organized in any career field, but the most popular in Patriots’ Path Council are Law Enforcement, Aviation, Law and Medical careers. Visit the Explorer page for more information.

Career Clubs are junior high school based programs similar to Explorer posts. Boys and girls in grades 6-8 can join Career Clubs.
