About Webelos Resident Camp

A resident camp for boys entering 4th or 5th grade in September – and their parents or adult leaders. Winnebago Scout Reservation, located in the hills of Rockaway NJ, is the setting for this Webelos resident camping experience. The staff always puts on an incredible program!

Camp Program

During your stay at camp, have fun with BB guns, archery, waterfront activities (swimming, boating, and fishing), handicrafts, Scoutcraft, ecology, sports, games, Miss Winnie pontoon boat, skateboard half-pipe, water trampoline, Mager Mountain, batting cage, hikes and more. We even have a few special programs for the adults, including a ride on our dual 1,000-foot zip lines over Durham Pond.
The program has been designed to capture the interest of 9- and 10-year-old boys. Program goals are to give each Scout an opportunity to work on Webelos and Arrow of Light advancement, to learn more about the world we live in, and to develop a greater appreciation for the outdoors.

Camp Life

Webelos Resident Camp provides a natural bridge from Cub Scouting to the many activities in Boy Scouting. The boys and adults sleep on canvas cots in wall tents on platforms. Everyone will enjoy great food in our dining hall. The camp also features flush toilets and a shower house. Your evenings are spent around the campfire with songs and skits.

Webelos Resident Camp is a great opportunity for scouts to work on Webelos and Arrow of Light advancement

Camp Leadership

Upcoming Webelos can attend camp with

  • their pack*
  • their den*
  • as an individual with a parent
  • as an individual with no adult: these boys are grouped together in our provisional pack, and Patriots’ Path Council provides trained adults to meet BSA’s leadership* requirement

* Adult leadership is required for all participants. Parents can come with their own sons. Or, you must have two adult den/pack leaders for the first eight Webelos and one more leader for every eight additional Webelos. The camp can also provide adult leadership.
