If you possess the interest, skills, experience and knowledge to become a Merit Badge Counselor, please reach out to our Merit Badge Dean, Phyllis Depczynski, or Advancement Chair, Peter Glaser.  We do have quite a few Merit Badges for which there are no counselors.  If you feel you could fill the vacancy, please help.  Our scouts need and deserve every opportunity that we can give them.

Whether you are already a registered adult leader or not, there is no fee to register as a Merit Badge Counselor, however, in either case, you do have to fill out an adult application.  There is also a Merit Badge Counselor Application form that must be submitted.  Youth Protection Training is a requirement.

Please see the Munsee District Advancement page about Merit Badge Counselors for more information.

There is also a great course at the University of Scouting in December.  Please click here for more Information about the University of Scouting and to register.
