On the weekend of Jan. 25-27, 2019 the Black River District Klondike was held at Trexler Scout Reservation in Effort PA. A total of approximately 450 Scouts, Webelos, adult leaders and volunteers participated in the competition on Saturday. There were 26 troops represented with 40 sleds. The winning sled was the ‘Code Brown’ from Troop 50. The ‘Ham Soup 2’ from troop 188 and “Lingey Memes’ from Troop 160 were second and third respectively.
Following the competition all enjoyed the traditional dinner prepared by the committee and staff and then a Star Wars movie finished the evening. The Klondike was chaired by Howard Gordon, Larry Gersten and Dave Curtis supported by an outstanding staff of volunteers.
