The Watchung Mountaineer Award is given to a registered Scouter for outstanding service rendered to Scouting at the Unit and/or District Level. General criteria to nominate:
- Currently registered as an adult Scouting volunteer in any capacity in a unit, district or council position.
- Two or more years of Service.
- Has consistently shown the capacity and wiliness to go the extra mile to provide an outstanding Scouting program.
- Has sought out training opportunities to improve their unit.
- Indicates through actions and activities the probability of a continued affiliation with the Scouting program.
- Shown a true “Scouting Spirit” in all activities.
