CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH – APRIL 2017

Consider Five Questions:

Are we Trained?

Are we Prepared?

What have we done with Our Youth & Parents?

Our Chartered Organizations?

Our Communities?

Make a difference.  TAKE FIVE ACTIONS during April 2017 to prevent Child Abuse and to improve safety for youth.

For suggestions and further information contact your district Youth Protection Champion, council or district website.

TAKE FIVE SUGGESTIONS FOR TRAINING

Renew your Youth Protection Training (YPT) certification.

Bring your senior scouters to live YPT on Wednesday April 12 at either 2pm or 7pm at Council Headquarters.

If your YPT expiration date is May, June, July, August or September 2017 renew your training during April – Child Abuse Prevention Month – to bring these issues to mind (and to make life easier for your training record keeper).

Volunteer to be your unit nudge and/or record keeper for up-to-date YPT.

If you work with teenagers check out our Venturing Youth Protection training to learn about relevant topics for this age group.

Take the CyberChip training for the grade level of your children, grandchildren or the youth you work with in Scouts and elsewhere.

Introduce members of your charter organization to YPT or Cyber Chip.
